Keith Ray Parker Sr.
Keith Ray Parker Sr., 62, passed away Friday, Jan. 6, 2017, at Grand Strand Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, S.C. He was born June 3, 1954, in Robeson County. He graduated from Orrum High School in 1972 and was a lifetime member of Long Branch Baptist Church. Keith was also an avid Tar Heels fan and was formerly the general manager of Ted Parker Home Sales in Lumberton. He was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Lee "Bud" Parker; and a brother, Harold Wayne Parker. He is survived by his mother, Grace Britt Parker of Lumberton; his wife, Sylvia Hicks Parker of the home; two sons, Keith Ray Parker II of the home and Jason Britt Parker and wife, Kristin, of Lakeland, Fla.; three brothers: Ted Parker and wife, Vicky, of Lumberton, Jeff Parker and girlfriend, Dee Barcome, of Little River, S.C., and Timmy Parker and wife, Denise, of Lumberton; three grandchildren, Justin Parker, Ella Parker and Michael Parker; and many beloved nieces and nephews. A time of visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 9, at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory Inc. in Lumberton. The family also received friends at the home of Cyndy Andrews in Lumberton. A funeral service was held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10, at Floyd Memorial Chapel. The Rev. Joe Bounds and Pastor Robert Weathers officiated. Burial followed at Floyd Memory Gardens.
