Nathaniel (Taters) DuShawn Carter was born in Lorain, Ohio on July 12, 1978. Nathaniel entered into eternal life January 6, 2017 at his residence in Lorain. Nathaniel attended Admiral King High School and was certificated as a masonry at East Valley Institute of Technology in Phoenix, AZ. He worked at as a tow motor operator and was self-employed as an entrepreneur utilizing his handyman and bricklaying skills. Nathaniel was a member of Willow Grove Missionary Baptist Church of Phoenix, AZ. and Antioch Baptist Church of Lorain, OH. Nathaniel is survived by his sons: JoNathan Carter (AL), Julius Carter (AZ), daughters; Tanasia and Natalya Carter (AZ). His parents; Gwendolyn (nee: Carter) and Kenneth Jackson. Siblings; Latrisa Carter Baldwin, Torie R. Jackson, Willie Jackson, Tasha Jackson Morris, Detania Jackson, Kenny Jackson, Jr., John Capers, Jr., Rochelle Capers, Pamela Capers, Stephanie Capers Lemon, Melinda Capers, Angela Capers, Tasha Capers, Mark Capers, Christopher Capers, Chastity Capers Allen, nephews Dereck Carter and Ja'Vyen Carter; godmother Annie Triplett, and a host of relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his infant daughter Laquita Jarrell Carter, his son Nathaniel DuShawn Carter, Jr.; maternal grandparents, Rev. Jonathan and Glennie B. Carter; his father, John E. Capers, Sr., and paternal grandparents; Roosevelt and Willie Ann (nee: Doss) Capers. Friends may call on Friday, January 13, 2017 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. in the Church on the North Coast, 4125 Leavitt Rd., Lorain, OH 44052.
