Paul R. Hebert
Paul R. Hebert, 76, of Enfield, loving husband of 53 years to Gail (Cappozzi) Hebert, entered into eternal rest Sunday, Jan. 8, 2017, at Evergreen Healthcare Center. Paul was born Feb. 17, 1940, in Ludlow, Massachusetts, the son of the late Rene and Maude (Longhurst) Hebert. He proudly served in the United States Coast Guard during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Paul retired from Pratt & Whitney Aircraft after 28 years and 3M after 15 years. He was a faithful parishioner of Holy Family Church and once served as a Eucharistic minister. Paul enjoyed collecting model trains and was active in all of his children's athletics. Paul will be remembered as a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather who gave tirelessly for his family. In addition to his loving wife, Gail, he is also survived by seven children, Christopher Hebert, of Los Angeles, Michael Hebert and his wife, Tammy, of Colchester, Timothy Hebert, of Middletown, Kellie Wilcox and her companion, George Cone, of Enfield, Jennifer Curtin and her husband, William, of Stafford, Karen Gowen and her husband, Ladd, of Enfield, and Erica Hebert, of Providence, Rhode Island; his 15 beloved grandchildren, Steven, Brianna, Cole, Sydney, Samantha, Nathan, Paige, Caitlin, Timothy, William, Allie, William IV, Payton, Kylie, and Nicole; a great-grandson, Aiden; and a sister-in-law, Joan Koosa and her husband, Ed, of Waterbury. Paul's family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Evergreen for the wonderful and compassionate care he received. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family during visiting hours Wednesday, Jan. 11, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield. A funeral procession will gather Thursday, Jan. 12, at 9 a.m. at the funeral home for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 a.m. at Holy Family Church. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Patrick's King Street Cemetery.
