In memory of
Bernard B. "Bernie" Sendro, 63, of Washington, died unexpectedly Sunday, January 8, 2017, in his home. He was born April 21, 1953, in Washington, a son of the late Harry and Frances Marie Urbanik Sendro. He was a graduate of Immaculate Conception High School and West Liberty University. Mr. Sendro was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, where he attended Mass daily. He was a devoted Catholic. His faith was his foundation and he walked humbly with God. He had a love for music and was a self-employed musician throughout the years, performing in various jazz bands. Mr. Sendro recently had begun working at Warco-Falvo Funeral Home Inc., which he greatly enjoyed. He became part of the Warco family and they will miss him dearly. He enjoyed eating and hanging out regularly at Wiencek's Dairy Bar and Restaurant. His friends at Wiencek's were like family to him and they will cherish his memory. Mr. Sendro was a true people person who would do anything for anyone. He was many wonderful things: a warm and friendly man, talented musician, a man who loved his nieces and nephews and their children and a genuine friend to many. He had a fun-loving heart which explains why he was loved by so many in the Washington community. Simply put, he knew everyone in town and everyone in town knew him.
