MURRAY CITY - Elsie M. Cook, 87, of Murray City, passed away Nov. 28, 2016, at Pickering House, Lancaster. Elsie was born Dec. 28, 1928, in Morristown, Ohio, to Frank and Opal Walton. She was a graduate of Chauncey High School and retired from Doctors Hospital of Nelsonville. Surviving are children, Carol Kapple of Belpre, Linda Fullerton of New Straitsville, Becky (Pearl) Spencer of New Lexington and Gary Cook of Murray City; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren; and her special doggie, Luigi. Elsie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Junior Cook; brother, Frank Junior Walton; sisters, Thelma, Wilma and Esther Walton; stepchildren, Nancy Dozer and Bobby Cook; and three grandchildren, Katy and Kathy Cook and Jason Dozer. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 1, at Brown Funeral Home, Murray City, with Scott Kapple officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville.
