CAZENOVIA > > Clifford A. Emmons, 64, of Cazenovia, passed away peacefully Monday, Oct. 17, 2016 at Crouse Hospital, with his family by his side. He will be remembered for his remarkable strength and courage. Clifford was born on Sept. 7, 1952 in Grants Pass, Ore., then grew up in the Oran and Cazenovia areas. He owned and operated Emmons Trucking for 12 years, then most recently was a dedicated employee at T.H. Kinsella for 35 years. Clifford enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. His love of work was inspiring. He was predeceased by his parents, Isaac and Hazel Emmons and his brother, Paul Emmons. Clifford is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Bonnie Emmons; his children, Alan (Kelly) Emmons and Karen (Derek) Guynup; his grandchildren, Aaron, Abby and Megan. He is also survived by his siblings, Ellen Markle, Esther (Dick) Weber, Albert Emmons (Cathy Lawrence), Edward Emmons, Ralph (Sherrie) Emmons, Wayne (Laura) Emmons, Hazel (Allan) Curtis, Lois (William) McCarthy; a sister-in-law, Barbara Emmons, and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. The family would like to thank all of the staff on 4 South Irving at Crouse Hospital for all their loving and compassionate care. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, Oct. 23 from 12-3 p.m. at Ayer-Zimmer Funeral Home, 38 Sullivan St., Cazenovia, N.Y., with a funeral service immediately following.
