In memory of
ERIC ALLAN ROSS
ROSS, ERIC ALLAN Eric Allan Ross was born on October 28, 1982 in Tampa Florida, destined to bring joy and love to his family and friends. He grew up in Gainesville, attending Oak Hall and Santa Fe College, and embarking on his personal passion for guitars, both playing and collecting. It was a journey that would last for his entire life, bringing personal pleasure and many, many friends. Eric's real purpose in life however was found at the Phillips Performing Arts Center where he got his first job as a sound technician almost 15 years ago. There he learned about earning respect, learning a craft, and demonstrating a work ethic few could emulate. His mastery of electronics, music and performance made him increasingly invaluable, and eventually indispensable. Through his hard work and the deep respect earned from co-workers and management, Eric became Audio Supervisor for the Phillips Center. His skills were recognized by the Anthem Community Church where he spent every Sunday ensuring that the many inspirational messages would all be perfectly heard, and the music enriched with beautiful sound. He loved his jobs and the people he worked with, his partner in life Lydia Krieger, his friends, and his family and he left this world way too soon on October 17, 2016. He is survived by his parents, Warren Ross and Carol Ross; his sisters, Samantha and Lilly; brothers, Michael and Matthew and niece, Jordyn, who all adored him. Eric leaves a void in his family's life which will be filled with wonderful memories and memorabilia, including his cherished Mustang. A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, October 21, 2016 at 4:30 p.m., at Anthem Church, 2902 SW 75th Street, with Pastor Derrak Ostovic officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations go to Alachua County Humane Society, 4205 NW 6th Street, Gainesville, FL 32609.
