In memory of
GLADYS ROBERTSON, 94, of South Point, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 17, 2016. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 20, 2016, at Morris Funeral Home Chapel, Wayne, W.Va., with Elders Tony Clay, Don Napier and Golden Ramey officiating. Burial will follow at Community Memorial Gardens, Wayne, W.Va. She was born on October 16, 1922, in Wayne County, West Virginia, to the late Golden and Leona Ramey. Gladys was a member of Philadelphia United Baptist Church for 79 years. She was a homemaker and loved quilting with her friends with covered dinners and was very competitive in Mexican Dominoes. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Robertson, brothers, J.P., Raymond and Hoover, and sisters, Opal, Ruby and Phyllis. Survivors include her three daughters, Arbutus "Boots" Robertson of South Point, Ohio, Earlene Wilson of Zephyrhills, Florida, and Pansy Reed of The Villages, Florida; seven grandchildren, Larry Johnson of Columbus, Ohio, Andra Johnson of Franklin, Tennessee, William Johnson of Barboursville, W.Va., Karen Wilson of Bryan, Ohio, Rodney Wilson of Naples, Florida, Kellie Lange of Hinsdale, Illinois, and Chad Reed of New Albany, Ohio. Gladys is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great-grandchildren; four sisters, Shirley Robertson (Steve) of Kenova, W.Va., Martha Long (Terry) of Interlachen, Florida, Pansy Ramey of Lavalette, W.Va., and Ethel Burks of Palatka, Florida; one brother, Golden Ramey (Tennie) of Interlachen, Florida. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Hospice of Huntington would be greatly appreciated.
