Charles M. Cain April 3, 1925 - October 16, 2016 Charles Cain of Marinwood, CA passed away on Sunday, October 16th at home after a long battle with cancer. Charles was the son of Boatner and Lillian Cain of Fairfield, Texas. He was preceded in death by his partner of 52 years, Donald Buck, his beloved parents and sisters, Marjorie Cain Griffin, Hazel Cain Henderson, Elizabeth Cain Pickett, Delyghte Cain and brother J.R. Cain. He is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews. Charles worked for Merchants Exchange Club of San Francisco as Assistance Manager until retiring in 1989. Before coming to San Francisco he worked for Gulf Oil Corporation in Venezuela. He was a World War II veteran where he served in the United State Army. Light classical music and working in his expansive gardens were two of the interest that filled Charles' days after retirement. He also loved to remodel homes in the Marin County area. He was a kind, very generous man who loved his family and friends and will be dearly missed. Upholding wishes there will not be any Memorial Services. Memorial contributions may be sent to your favorite charity.
