In memory of
Georgia Anastasakos (Annos), of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully on Friday October 14, 2016.
Georgia was born in Nazareth, PA in 1923. She graduated from Easton High School and, thereafter, from Churchman Business College (Easton, PA ) in 1943. Georgia retired from ICI America and continued working part-time for Wilmington Trust.
She was a devoted mother and special "yiayia" to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a faithful member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church and its Philoptochos Society for 50 + years and was active in preparations and volunteering at The Greek Festival.
She was predeceased by her husband, Constantinos Anastasakos, and is survived by her children, Dr. Thomas Annos (Theresa), William Annos (Irene) and Voula Annos Stout (Bob), as well as 4 grandchildren, Constance Dorsney (Ken), Theodore Annos (Kerry), Amanda Annos (Jim) and Gregory Annos and five great grandchildren. Also surviving are her sister, Maria Lees of Bethlehem, PA and her brother George Karukas of South Carolina.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 808 North Broom Street, Wilmington, DE 19806 from 9:45 AM to 11:15 AM, followed by a Funeral Service beginning at 11:15 AM. Interment to follow at Silverbrook Cemetery.
