Rita A. Reginato Apr. 10, 1939 - Oct. 14, 2016 Resident of Orinda After a long and courageous battle, God called Rita to heaven on October 14, 2016. Born in Kenosha, Wisconsin on April 10, 1939 to Mary and John Sadauski, Rita moved to California after obtaining her Medical Technologist degree from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. While working in San Francisco for Kaiser, she met her love and soulmate Louis Reginato and they were married in June of 1964. In 1965 Rita and Lou moved to Orinda and began raising a family, and they celebrated 52 years of marriage this year. Throughout the years Rita was a completely devoted wife and mother as well as an artist who expressed her talents in cooking, quilting, sewing and the fine arts. She also spent much of her time volunteering throughout the local community; her service included the un-incorporated Orinda Planning Commission, President of the local AAUW chapter and the Miramonte Parents Guild as well as endless hours of volunteering for the Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Sleepy Hollow swim club and the local schools. She is survived by her three children: Mary Louise Bucher and her husband Tim, Paul Reginato and his wife Marilyn and Mark Reginato and his wife Kory, and her six grandchildren: Steven, Jenna and Mikayla Bucher and Gianna, Danika and Natalia Reginato. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 21, 2016 at St. Monica's Church in Moraga at 10:30am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Monica's Church in her honor.
