John was born on October 10, 1925 and passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2016.
John was a resident of Dracut, Massachusetts at the time of his passing.
He was a graduate of Lowell High School.
He enlisted in the United States Army Air Force, where he served as a radio operator on a B-24 Liberator, which was part of the 801st/492nd Bombardment Group. He took part in flying many covert bombing missions over the European Theater during World War II, being part of the Office of Strategic Services (OSS), known today as the CIA.
He was married to Alice (Garbowski) Carnevale.
ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on WEDNESDAY, October 19, 2016, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, Dracut. His funeral will take place on Thursday, October 20 at 9 a.m. from the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Rita's Church; 158 Mammoth Road; Lowell. Burial will take place at the Richardson Cemetery, Dracut.Visitation
