Clyde R. Header Sr.
Clyde Ray Header Sr., 81, of Naples, Fla., passed away Aug. 30 at Duke Hospice, Durham, N.C. He was born Dec. 27, 1934, in Barry Township, a son of the late Roy and Mary Kehler Header. Clyde served in the Army during the Korean War. He is survived by two daughters, Wanda Updegrave and her husband, Rodger, Hegins, and Zena R. Header and her husband, Gary Connor, Durham; two sons, Clyde R. Header Jr., Timber Lake, N.C., and Wendell Header, Durham; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; his companion, Jane Mortiz, Durham; two brothers, Virden "Pee Wee" Header, Barry Township, and Ivan Header, Sunbury; four sisters, Violet Tschopp and Ellen Steel, both of Lykens, Ruth Paul, Reading, and Anna Erdman, Northumberland. A graveside service with military honors will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Salem Cemetery, Ashland, with the Rev. Don E. Carl officiating.
