Barry R. McDonough, 83, of Needham died on October 11, 2016. He was the beloved husband for 56 years of Diane (Russell) McDonough, son of the late Dr. Eugene F. McDonough and Abigail (Barry) McDonough and beloved brother of Abigail (McDonough) Sullivan of Towsend, MD. He was predeceased by his brother, Dr. Eugene F. McDonough, Jr. of Dedham, MA. Barry also leaves brother-in-law David L. Sullivan and sister-in-law Ingrid (Barrett) McDonough. Beloved father of Barry R. McDonough Jr. and his wife Rosanne, Mary Eileen (McDonough) Hanna and her husband John, Vincent R. McDonough, Frances (McDonough) Jaskot and her husband Paul, Eugene P. McDonough and his wife Julie and Bridgid (McDonough) Coyle and her husband John. Proud grandfather of Rachel (McDonough) Kelly, Constance and Christopher McDonough, Jack, Michael and Thomas Hanna, Barry III and Darryln McDonough, Andrew, Molly and Kathryn Jaskot, Natalie, Peter and Claire McDonough, Caroline, Catherine and Abigail Coyle, and great-grandfather of Mary Eleanor Nora Kelly. Barry was a graduate of St. Sebastian High School, College of the Holy Cross and Boston College Law School. Senior partner at Parker, Coulter, Daley and White and Co-founder of McDonough, Hacking and Lavoie in 1994. Active parishioner of St. Joseph Parish for over 50 years, he served as Chairman of Finance Committee and was a recipient of the Bishop Cheverus Medal. He also served as Needham Town Meeting Member for 25 years and was active on several committees, was a member of the Richard P Melick Foundation. Barry was an active alumni of Holy Cross, Past President of the Holy Cross Alumni Association and recipient of the In Hoc Signo Award. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in St. Joseph Church, Needham, on Saturday Oct 16, 2016. Interment followed at Needham Cemetery.
