In memory of
BIRCHWOOD — Cecile Nicoles Cartwright, 79, went home to be with the Lord on Oct. 16, 2016, at her home in Birchwood, Tenn. She was surrounded by her family and loved ones at her time of passing. Cecile had been battling ovarian cancer, for the past three and a half years. Cecile was born in Rock Spring, Ga., on March 26, 1937, to Arthur "Boss" and Bessie Nichols. She was a member of Greenwood Baptist Church in Ooltewah. She was also a graduate of Ringgold High School in Ringgold, Ga. Cecile was a homemaker for most of her life, but she was also employed short term at Richmond Hosiery, Cutter Labs, Buster Brown, and Chattanooga Central High School. Cecile's greatest love in life was her relationship with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She had a contagious smile and was loved dearly by all that knew her. Cecile was also a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Cecile was happiest reading her Bible, spending time with her family, and cooking meals for those she loved. She also enjoyed a life-long love with her husband of 56 years, Wayne. A remembrance of life service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, at Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee St. Chapel, with Rev. Chad Chandler and Rev. Paul Allen officiating.
