In memory of
Christine J. Kieklak
Christine Janice Kieklak, age 59, of Enola, passed away on Friday, October 14, 2016, at West Shore Hospital, surrounded by her family. Born on December 9, 1956, in Erie, she was welcomed into heaven by her parents, George and Susan T. (Castano) Miko; and her brother, George Kevin. Surviving is her loving husband of 33 years, Bernard J. Kieklak, Jr.; her son, Bernard J. Kieklak, III and wife Erica of New Cumberland; her daughter, Nicole M. Fitting and husband Chris of Mechanicsburg; grandchildren, Noah Daniel and Carson George Fitting and Laynie Marie Kieklak; her twin sister, Mary Anne Gerald of Erie; her three nieces, Nerissa Gerald and her family Joe, Joey, and Alyssa of Erie, Christy Gerald and her family Mike, Shae, Mercedes, and Keira of Erie, and Gina Gerald of Erie. Chris loved life and she loved her family more than anything. She was a cake decorator by profession, but for her it was also a passion. She took great pride and joy in making beautiful cakes for her family and friends. She loved taking trips to the beach and New York City. Her two favorite places to visit were Walt Disney World and Daytona Beach. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and never turned down an opportunity to be with them. She had a smile that could bring light to any room and a contagious laugh, although at times the only person laughing with her was her sister, while the rest of us laughed at them as they tried to tell us what was so funny. She had an incredible imagination and was full of creativity, which she enjoyed using to decorate her home and her children's homes for each and every holiday that she loved so much. She was one of a kind, the type of person who only comes around once in a lifetime. She was a beloved Mom, Nunnie, Wife, Sister, and Aunt. She left this world far too soon. Her wings were ready, but our hearts were not. She left everyone she met better for having known her and she will be greatly missed. Mom, I will always be your baby boy and I couldn't let anyone else write this for you. So today I say the words you so often said to me, "Don't forget to let us know when you get home so we know you're safe." We will always remember the time at the place with the thing. We will think of you every time we see a quail fish or a bird that needs to get outta here. We love you forever and will keep you in our hearts always. Memorial services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 19th at Malpezzi Funeral Home, 8 Market Plaza Way, Mechanicsburg, where there will be a visitation from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. To sign the online guest book, please visit .
