Clarence Wardell Jr.
Clarence "Tadpole" Wardell Jr. of 78721 Side-Hill Road, Freeport, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, Oct. 15, 2016 after a battle with cancer. He was born Aug.1, 1929 in Dennison, Ohio to the late Clarence Wardell and Lena Bagalis Wardell. He was retired from the United Brick and Clay Workers of America, he formerly had worked for Republic Steel in Massillon. He is survived by a sister, Patricia (Patty) Cross of Freeport. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Lewis Wardell (Dennison) and Jack Wardell (Uhrichsville). Clarence "Tadpole" was a beloved brother, uncle, and friend to many. He had a great love for the outdoors including fishing, hunting, and trapping. He always had a great outlook on life and never without a smile or comment to add. He will be greatly missed by all. A memorial service will be held for family and friends at the home of his sister, Patricia Cross in Freeport at a later date.
