Rocco Cuscuna Sr.
Cuscuna, Sr., Rocco B. Rocco "Rocky" Bruno Cuscuna, Sr. passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at the age of 86. Rocco was born in Reggio Calabria, Italy on May 5, 1930 to the late Giuseppe Cuscuna and Rose Varacalli Cuscuna. Rocco came from Italy in 1952. He resided in Canada before coming to Stamford, CT in 1962. Rocky was a Mason in Italy and Canada. On his arrival to the states he worked for AHC Management for 25 years. Then continued his career with Alibis formerly (ARC) in Greenwich, CT where he retired in 1997. Rocky spent the next 20 years enjoying his life with his family, friends, and especially his grandchildren. He loved his weekends in Vermont, and his winters in Venice, Florida. He was an avid hunter and had the pleasure of exploring the world on hunting trips with his closest friends. He was a lifetime member of St. Ann's club in Norwalk and a member of the NRA and the North American Hunting Club. Rocky is survived by; his loving wife of 53 years, Nicoletta "Mickey" DiCamillo Cuscuna. His son, Rocky Cuscuna, Jr. his Daughter, Donna Perri and her husband John Perri. He is also survived by his five grandchildren, John Perri, Jemma Perri, Samantha Cuscuna, Victoria Cuscuna, and Rocky Cuscuna III, his brothers, Salvatore Cuscuna, and sisters Poriza Codispoti and Bianca Palazzo. Rocky will be sadly missed by the many nieces and nephews he cherished. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Joe and Virgilio Cuscuna, his sister, Virgilia Cuscuna his brother in laws Santino DiCamillo, Vincent Santorella, Sr. John Pollazzo, and his sister in law Connie Cuscuna. Lastly, his beloved daughter in law, Nicole Cuscuna. A funeral procession will be leaving the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 20, 2016 for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at St. Clement Church, 535 Fairfield Avenue, Stamford. Entombment will follow at St John's Mausoleum, Darien. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. with a presentation at 6:45 p.m. by St. Ann's Members.
