In memory of
Ms. Clara Dyer, 82, of Passaic, passed away on October 14, 2016. She was born in Bennington, VT and lived most of her life in Rutherford before moving to Passaic. She retired at 65 from her job of 34 years as office manager for Doctors Gelb and Goldman in Clifton. She was an avid Facebook user, keeping in touch with all her grandchildren. She enjoyed bowling, reading and listening to her favorite music by Willie Nelson, Pavarotti and Roy Orbison. Let's not forget her pal Babe, a little Havanese puppy. Her smile and loving, gentle nature will be greatly missed by her loving children, Jay and his wife Tammy, Debra Mc Garvin, Casey Pernick and husband Matthew, Sarah Manning and husband Jamie; her adored grandchildren Marilyn McGarvin and husband Brian Watkins, Louise McGarvin, Casey James, Patrick and Theodore Manning, Rachel Songer and husband Jeff, Michael and Alexander Pernick, Barry Linder and wife Nicole; and her great-grandchildren Ethan James Murphy -Manning, Jackson and Caden Linder, and nephew Burt Hartington. Ms. Dyer was also predeceased by her siblings Priscilla Hartington and Robert Edward Dyer. Family will accept friends Monday, October 17 from 7-9 p.m. with prayer services at 8:30 p.m. by Rev. Peter Wilkinson in the Calhoun-Mania Funeral Home, located at 19 Lincoln Ave. in Rutherford. Funeral services will be private. If so desired, donations may be made to the American Cancer Foundation.
