Allen Martin EVANSVILLE, INDIANA - Allen F. Martin, 68, passed away Sunday, October 15, 2016, at his residence. He was born April 20, 1948, in Evansville to the late Shorty and Hazel (Cornick) Martin. Allen graduated from North High School and was a veteran of the US Navy. He was a millwright and a member of the Millwright Union. He also was an over the road truck driver. Allen was a member of St. Peter's UCC, American Legion, AmVets 84, Owls and Riverbend Association. He is survived by his wife, Bobbie of 30 years; sons, Brian Martin (Vicky) of Evansville and Billy Lauderdale (Rebecca) of Rienzi, Mississippi; daughter, Michelle Gann (Mark) of Rienzi, Mississippi; grandchildren, Jalisa Estes, Meranda Blalock, Chance George, Shelby, Savannah and Sydney Martin; six great-grandchildren; and his dog, Fee Fee. The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. James Jenison and his staff, all the doctors and nurses on the 2nd floor at Deaconess Hospital, and the nurses, doctors, and staff at Health South 4th floor. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, October 17, 2016, at Ziemer Funeral Home North Chapel 6300 North 1st Avenue, Evansville Indiana 47710. Funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 18, 2016, at the funeral home where military rights will follow the funeral service. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, October 20, 2016, at The Antioch II Baptist Cemetery in Rienzi, Mississippi.
