Geraldine Grogan, 90, of Montgomery, IL passed away Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Hillside Rehabilitation & Care Center in Yorkville, IL. She was born July 11, 1926 in Anutt, Missouri, the daughter of Norflake and Lillian (Williams) Fipps. She graduated from Salem High School in Salem Missouri. On February 8, 1948 she married Marvin Grogan in Camp Fanning, TX while Marvin was serving in the US Army during WW11. She was formerly employed by Stoners and McKee Door both in Aurora. Geraldine was a member of First United Presbyterian Church on Lake Street in Aurora. She is survived by her husband, Marvin of Montgomery; her daughter, Janice Bennett of Montgomery; Grandson, David (Doris) Bennett of Chicago; 2 sisters, Opal Butler and Mavis Callahan; 1 brother, Glen (Betty) Fipps and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters, Maxine Butler, Daveine Pursifull and Geneva Hollis and 1 brother, Elba Fipps. Family will be receiving guests Tuesday, August 18, 2016 from 11:00 am until time of service at 12:00 noon at Dieterle Memorial Home 1120 S. Broadway, Montgomery, IL.
