Robert Bradley DeVOLLD
DeVOLLD, Robert Bradley of Brandon, FL, passed peacefully October 14, 2016 from stroke complications. Born to Donald and Virginia DeVolld of Zanesville, OH July 12, 1945, he was a graduate of Zanesville High School and, following his service in the Army, received his bachelor's in Business from Franklin University in Columbus, OH. He was a Jaycee and owner of the DeVolld Insurance Agency in Zanesville until 1982, when his family moved to Brandon, Florida, where he worked as West Coast District Manager for The Travelers Insurance. Bob was actively involved in the Brandon Community, serving on the board of ECHO and a past president of the Brandon '86 Rotary Club, where he co-chaired the committee for the Rotary All Persons Playground, his proudest accomplishment. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Gail; son, Troy DeVolld of Los Angeles; daughter, Melissa (Josh) Hughes of Ruskin, FL; and two grandchildren, Lindsey and Joel; sister, Judy (Dave) Ross of Zanesville, OH, as well as seven nieces and nephews and several other family members. There will be a visitation Wednesday, October 19, from 5:30 to 7 pm at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home, followed by a Celebration of Life at 7 pm.
