Eva Morgan Knoxville, TN Eva Louise (Moyers) Morgan, age 98, of Knoxville, passed away on her birthday, October 15, 2016 at Jefferson City Nursing Facility, Franklin Lodge. Eva was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was known for her quiet, gentle kindness and caring spirit as well as her love for her church and Lord and Savior. Eva was a faithful member of Lyons Creek Baptist Church until her declining health. Preceded in death by her parents, William and Flora (Moody) Moyers; husband, Willis F. (Mossy) Morgan; siblings, Herbert and Mary Moyers; and sisters-in-law, Dot Lemons and Jean Gibson. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Allen and Phyllis Morgan; grandson, and wife Chris and Melanie Morgan; great-granddaughter, Collins Morgan; sisters-in-law, Pauline Norton, Betty Hart, Dorothy Taylor, Jane Potter; as well as several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 2:30-4:00 PM on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at Bridges Funeral Home and then proceed to Trentville Cemetery for a 4:30 PM graveside service with Rev. Chris Morgan and Dr. Bob Brown officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lyons Creek Baptist Church Building Fund, 9235 Strawberry Plains Pike, Strawberry Plains, TN 37871.
