CARMINE DEBAGGIS
Carmine G. DeBaggis PRINCETON Carmine G. DeBaggis, 89, of Princeton, passed away in his home on Thursday, Oct. 13, 2016, with his loving family by his side. Carmine was born on March 19, 1927, in Isernia, Italy, where he grew up. He served in the Italian military before his marriage to his beautiful wife, Modestina, in 1954. Mr. DeBaggis worked for Princeton University, from which he eventually retired. He also owned a landscaping business. With his wife's help, Carmine always enjoyed taking care of their wonderful home. He could be seen in the yard, growing a beautiful garden, fixing around the house and sharing stories of his family. He would constantly give instructions to his family about how to tend his garden. His younger years were enjoyed with his wife and family at get-togethers, traveling to Italy and trips to the beach. Carmine was predeceased by his wife, Modestina, in 2014, with whom he shared 60 years of marriage; his parents, Damiano and Assonta Perna DeBaggis, and brother and sister-in-law, Alessandro and Graciela DiBaggio. Surviving are his loving children, Claudio DeBaggis and his wife, Mary, of North Carolina, Susan DeBaggis, and Diana Radogna and her husband, Bill, all of Princeton; four grandchildren, Katherine, Mary, Michael and Alanna; brother and sister-in-law, Raimondo and Luisa DiBaggio of New York, and many loving nieces and nephews. Carmine has now journeyed to meet his beloved wife. He will be greatly missed by all. Please join our family to share your memories at his viewing on Monday, Oct. 17, 2016, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Kimble Funeral Home, 1 Hamilton Ave., Princeton, N.J. We will gather again on Tuesday morning, Oct. 18, 2016, at the funeral home from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Paul Church, 214 Nassau St., Princeton, NJ. Carmine will be laid to rest next to Modestina in Princeton Cemetery.
