Vernon Harold MOELLER
MOELLER, Vernon Harold Vernon Harold Moeller, 65, of Austin, Texas died peacefully surrounded by family and friends on October 12, 2016. Born in Dublin, Ireland on June 14, 1951, he was adopted shortly after by Arno and Olive Moeller. They settled in San Antonio, where Vernon attended Jefferson High School. He studied music at St. Mary's University in San Antonio and received his masters from UT-Austin. There, he met his wife Ann Perrine, and they were married in 1977. Vernon worked for the Adjutant General's office as a Systems Analyst at Camp Mabry for 25 years. All the while, Vernon was an ardent participant in the classical music community of Austin. For over 40 years he served as an organist for several Austin churches, playing for UIL competitions, weddings, funerals, and the like. One of his most cherished memories was playing for the StarDust IV, made up of his wife Ann and their dear friends Catherine & Judy. After retiring, Vernon started his own piano studio, which he dearly loved. He is survived by his wife Ann, sons Jeff and Matt, mother Olive, brother Conrad, and brother-in-law Nathan Perrine. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 22nd at 2 pm at Bethany United Methodist Church with reception to follow.
