VODOPICH, Donald Roy Donald Roy Vodopich, loving and devoted, husband, brother and son passed away at his home in Atlanta, Georgia on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2016. He joined his parents, Beatrice 'Betty' Delatore Vodopich and Anthony 'Tony' John Joseph Vodopich, in heaven. He was born July 24, 1936 in Deadwood, South Dakota. He was christened at the Church of St. Barbara, Santa Barbara, California on Nov. 7, 1937. Survivors are his wife, Linda Claire Robinson Vodopich, of Atlanta Georgia; sister Roberta Vodopich Mutchler, nephew Greg Mutchler (Dona), grand-niece, Vanessa Mutchler and grand-nephew, Randy Mutchler, all of Arvada, Colorado, many other in-laws, nieces nephews, and other loved ones. He graduated from Lead High School, Lead South Dakota in 1954 and attended the Colorado School of Mines for one year. He was employed by Western Geophysical for 3 years from 1956 thru 1959, using seismic technology to explore for minerals and oil; spending 3 months in the Kenai Peninsula, Alaska, some time in Jamaica, and then Holguin, Cuba.He earned a BS degree in Math and Business from Black Hills State University May, 1960 and obtained additional degrees in Finance and Math from the University of Denver. In 1964, Don was employed by Capital Life Insurance in Denver, Co. as an actuary and in 1967 transferred to Atlanta, GA. where he became a member of the American Academy of Actuaries. Don founded the company Benefit Communications, one of the first to provide major companies with benefit statements for their employees. He later published a weekly newsletter, Precision Timing. A newsletter discussing the weekly financial commodities using the GANN angle/Elliot wave theories. He was the first to combine these technical methods. Precision Timing provided market research and advisory services to financial institutions and individuals. Don is the author of the book Precision Timing for Profit. Don impacted many people through his knowledge and sharing information and experience from his own life. Through this we go forward and strive to be our best. He lived what he believed. A private family ceremony will be held at a later date in Denver, Co.
