Norma Lee Corey
Norma Lee Corey September 14, 1933 - September 24, 2016 Norma Lee Corey, 83, of Redwood City, died peacefully at her home in the arms of family, on September 24, 2016. She is survived by her son Karl George Corey, and daughters Laura Clayton Corey, Jan Virginia Corey, and she was the mother of the late Lee Elaine Corey. Other survivors include her 4 grandchildren, her former husband George Corey, and many relatives across the country. Norma was a native of Panola County, Mississippi, and took her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Mississippi in 1955. A longtime activist, Norma was a noted participant in California politics from the 1960's through the 1980's. In her later years, she was an original voice in the new online public policy activism, and pursued her lifelong love of reading. Norma's family is planning a celebration of her life in the near future where her friends and family will be able to "raise a toast" in memory of this remarkable lady.
