Cleo B. Dolan
Cleo B. Dolan Naples, FL Cleo B. Dolan, former director of the Cleveland Sight Center, passed away August 27, 2016 at his home in Naples, FL. He was 98 years old. A community leader, Cleo will be remembered by the many lives he touched as a prominent executive and fundraising genius. Cleo won a scholarship to Ohio State University and earned Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Social Administration. Cleo served as Executive Director for The Society for the Blind from 1958 through 1983. Through his dynamic leadership and innovative programs, the Society became the third largest private multipurpose agency in the nation serving blind people. Due to his prolific career, Cleo was inducted into the Hall of Fame for Leaders and Legends of the Blindness Field in 2002. Cleo was preceded in death by his first wife, Elinore; his son, Richard; and seven siblings. He is survived by his devoted wife, Vivian Fana-Dolan; daughter, Nancy Hummel; daughter-in-law, Donna Dolan; three stepchildren; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
