In memory of
Jan Alan WEAVER
WEAVER, Jan Alan Passed away peacefully at home under hospice care with his loving wife, Dee, by his side on October 2, 2016 at the age of 67. A strong and independent man, he was his own strongest advocate in life and made every decision until the very end. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He was an only child, born in Cincinnati, Ohio on June 25, 1949 to Raymond and Dorothy Weaver. As the son of a military Anesthesiologist and subsequently private practice, moving around the country was only second nature to him. From land to sea and back, he was most at peace living on the ocean and made his final move a few years ago to his serene wooded haven along the Sonoma Creek. After attending UCLA for a few years, he became a production manager at a plastics company and then started his own business as a partner at Point Plastics. A jack of many trades, he always had something inventive going on, whether it be in plastics or the wine industry. However, it was his true passion for horses that led him and Dee into the horse industry, where they began Palo Verde Arabians and attended shows nationwide. Raising three sons, he always taught them the importance of a strong work ethic and perseverance; later going into business with his oldest son, Jason, at All Canvas Products until his retirement in 2014. He was passionate about his dogs, horses, antiques and cars and truly enjoyed taking long Sunday drives to the coast with Dee. He rarely would smile for photos with his three grandchildren, but when he thought you weren't looking, you could catch a glimpse of his smirk! Jan was preceded in death by his father, Raymond (94). He leaves behind his mother, Dorothy (97); loving wife Dee Weaver of 38 years; three sons: Jason Weaver (Misty); Randy Weaver (Tina) and Justin Weaver (Erin); three grandchildren: Keolani, Gracie and Jackson; former wife Sue Weaver; beloved dog Willie and a lifetime of wonderful friends. In honor of his wishes, no services will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made in his honor to: Pets Lifeline, 19686 - 8th Street East, Sonoma, CA 95476
