In memory of
Zimmerman, Curtis Paul Canandaigua: October 7, 2016, at age 84. He is survived by four children, Lori Fotis and Greg, Linda and Chris Zimmerman. He was predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Dorothy A. Zimmerman. Curt was born in Rochester. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, beekeeper, arborist, maple syrup maker, Eagle Scout and woodworker. Curt would say he "came along at a great time", even though he grew up during The Great Depression. After being drafted into the Army for two years, Curt spent his career at Kodak. He retired and spent most of his time on beloved Wolfe Lake in Ontario. Curt was a dog lover and everyone who knew him can remember Polly, Sue, Peppy and Ringo. Being a devoted husband, father, son and friend was the most important thing to him. He was a mentor and will be missed by so many. His feeling was, when the movie is over, you need to exit the theater to let the next group come in. A special thanks is extended to the staff members who treated Curt like their own parent. There will be no services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Clark Manor House, 318 Fort Hill Ave., Canandaigua, NY 14424 or M.M. Ewing Continuing Care Center, 350 Parrish St., Canandaigua, NY 14424. Arrangements are by Johnson-Kennedy Funeral Home, Inc., Canandaigua. Condolences may be offered at www.johnsonkennedy.com
