Carlos A. Leo
Carlos Leo, 69, of Hollywood, Florida passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at his residence. Carlos was born on October 5, 1947 in Havana, Cuba. He bravely emigrated to Florida alone at the age of 13, where he eventually reunited with his paternal aunt, Mercedes Leo. He was a proud graduate of the University of Florida and co-founded a successful advertising agency, PL&P, with Al Padron and Felipe Ponzoa. Along with the success of PL&P, he found joy in his love of books, his artwork, and his family, especially his granddaughter, Cristina.He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Bambi, his daughter, Danielle, her husband, Billy, and his granddaughter, Cristina Leo Suarez. A service in celebration of Carlos' life will be held at 3:00 p.m. at Fred Hunter's Hollywood Funeral Home at 6301 Taft Street in Hollywood. A gathering of friends and family will follow the service from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please consider a donation in Carlos' memory to the Broward Public Library Foundation or the World Wildlife Fund.
