In memory of
Gayle Dickson "Life-Long Learner" Our mom was born on June 17, 1926 and completed her full and amazing life on October 8, 2016. She served in three professions during her working career. Beginning as a Registered Nurse specializing in Emergency Care, Intensive Care, Surgery and Home Health, she then went on to earn a Master's Degree in Theology, and a Certificate in Individual Counseling. Later in life she became a well-respected and admired Lay Minister for the United Methodist Church. Always eager to study and to share what she was learning, she authored several books, was a popular speaker, and Bible Study leader. She will be deeply missed and dearly remembered by many friends and family members. Gayle is survived by her sons, Robert Dickson and David Dickson (Molly); daughter, Pat Bird (Bill); granddaughter, Brook Hill (Scott); grandsons, Andrew Dickson and Dustin Dickson (Brooke); and great-grand- daughters, Taylor and Briar Dickson. Our family wishes to extend heartfelt gratitude to the caring and compassionate staff at Woodland Assisted Living facility. We also want to thank the nurses and caregivers with Assured Hospice. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Littlerock United Methodist Church, Littlerock, WA, where she was known as "Pastor Gayle" for many years. "I shall pass through this world but once. Any good therefore that I can do or any kindness that I can show to any human being, let me do it now. Let me not defer or neglect it for I shall not pass this way again." - Stephen Grellet
