Veronica Womack Willis Born: September 20, 1923; in Silvis, IL Died: October 5, 2016; in Marion, IL Veronica Womack Willis, age 93, passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at Parkway Manor in Marion, IL. She was born September 20, 1923, in Silvis, Illinois, the daughter of Albert Karl Miller and Katie Mabel Rubey Quick Miller. Ronnie, as she preferred to be called, graduated from United Township High School in East Moline, Illinois, class of 1940. She was a legal secretary for many years working with law firms in Illinois, Ohio, and Arkansas. Ronnie married Paul W. Womack at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Moline, IL in February, 1954. They were the owners of Womack Insurance Agency in Moline, as well as Ben Franklin stores in Moline, East Moline, Rock Island, IL and Davenport, IA. They both enjoyed golf and were members at Oakwood Country Club in Moline and Short Hills Country Club in East Moline. When they retired to Rogers, Arkansas in 1976, they continued to enjoy their golfing activities and were both active in their church, Holy Trinity Lutheran in Rogers. Paul died in 1991, and several years later Ronnie married Clint Willis. She is survived by three sons, James Womack and wife, Jan of Murphysboro, IL, Earl Womack and wife, Sandy of Saddlebrooke, MO, Jeff Womack and wife, Sheri of Davenport, IA; daughter-in-law, Peg Womack of Moline, IL; grandchildren, Paul Robert Womack of Pineville, MO, Christine Hamilton and husband, Jerry of Jacksonville, FL, Scott Womack and wife, Caroline of Palatine, IL, Steve Womack of Bakersfield, CA, Jon Womack and wife, Carla of Pomona, IL, Andrea Holder and husband, Tom of DeKalb, IL, Todd Womack and wife, Rachel of Slinger, WI, Kyle Womack and wife, Jennifer of Pell Lake, WI, Gabrielle Womack of Beaumont, TX, Jeremy Womack and wife, Lindsey of Coal Valley, IL, Justin Womack and Josh Womack both of Moline, IL; and over 20 great-grandchildren. Veronica was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; sons, Paul K. Womack and his wife, Diane, Lee A. Womack, and Richard E. Womack; grandsons, Jared Womack and Matthew Womack; great-grandson, Herby Ballance; half-sisters, Leona, Edna, Rose and Mildred Quick, and half-brother, Edwin Quick. Pastor Gordon Besel will officiate at the funeral service scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 22, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Rogers, Arkansas, where Ronnie was a member for 35 years. Burial will be at Benton County Memorial Park in Rogers. Visitation will be at the church before the service from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
