age 100, of Maple Hts. Loving husband of Irene (nee Stasko) for 69 years; dear father of Leslie (Cindy); grandfather of John and Alexander Kovalik, and Kristen Wiley; brother of the late Edward (Beatrice) and the late Eleanor Pezo/Charvat; uncle of Daniel and Sandra. Marty was a graduate of Maple Hts. High School and Kent State University (class of 1939) where he played baseball and basketball. He was a past president of the Kent State National Alumni Association and an avid fan of the KSU Golden Flashes, as well as all of the Cleveland professional sports teams. Marty served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was the owner and manager of Calculating Service Company, having retired in 1980. Marty was active in Masonry for over 70 years- a member of Acacia Lodge #641, Valley of Cleveland Scottish Rite, the Al Koran Shrine, and the Royal Order of Jesters Cleveland Court #14. Friends received at THE ST. JOHN FUNERAL HOME, 923 BROADWAY, BEDFORD (ONE MILE WEST OF FORBES-BROADWAY EXIT OF I-271), MONDAY, OCTOBER 17 FROM 6 – 8 P.M. with a Masonic service at 7 P.M. Private interment. It is requested that memorial contributions be forwarded to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2900 N. Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, Florida 33607, or visit to make a gift.
