Verlene Cleaver
Verlene Cleaver was born in Welcome Home, Ark to parents Ed and Carmon Harrison on July 26, 1934. She passed away at Sierra View Medical Center on October 5, 2016 at age 82. She was predeceased by her parents, brothers Kenneth and Iverson Harrison, sister Emma Wilson, daughter Pamela Davis, granddaughter Deidre Morgan and partner, Donald Freeman. She leaves behind sisters Dona Jackson and Oreda Otto; daughters Earsy Tarver(Bill) of Exeter, Linda Morgan of Porterville, Patricia Stuebner of Modesto and Glenda Giddens (Ralph) of Strathmore; 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Verlene was a resident of Lindsay for many years where she worked for Lindsay Ripe Olive Company. She was an excellent seamstress, cook and crafter. Verlene loved to travel around the country visiting famous sites and enjoying the beautiful countryside, but her favorite past-time was bingo. At Sierra Valley Rehab Center, she looked forward to playing bingo every day. Graveside services for Verlene will be held Monday, October 17, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Lindsay Strathmore Public Cemetery in Lindsay. Webb Sanders Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
