Michael K. Golden
Michael K. Golden, 38, of Tower City, passed away Wednesday evening at the Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon, after a courageous battle with a five-month illness. Born in Pottsville, Aug. 27, 1978, he was a son of Kenneth and Stephanie Klinger Golden, Tower City. He attended Williams Valley High School, and was a truck driver with A&S Services/Big Lots, Tremont. Mike was a member of the Reinerton Fire Company. He was known as a jack of all trades, always willing to lend a hand whenever needed. He enjoyed working on cars. His greatest joys in his life were being with his children, whom he adored. Surviving, in addition to his parents, are his wife, Cory L. Messick Golden; two children, Kristen and Alan Golden, both at home; two sisters, Shelly Slough, Williamstown, and Dawn Shutt, Tower City; aunts, including Liza Klinger, who was very special to Mike, uncles, nieces and nephews. A celebration of Mike's life will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday from the Chapel of Dimon Funeral Home, Tower City. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. at the chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to Dimon Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 644 E. Grand Ave., Tower City, PA 17980, to help with expenses.
