Roland Robins Wilson
MATHEWS - Roland Robins Wilson, of Mathews, was born May 24, 1938 in Gloucester, and went home to be with his Lord and Savior on October 12, 2016. Roland was a retired Federal Firefighter. He was also an employee of Chimney Corner lawn, Mower, Mathews, working both part-time and full-time. He was an active member of the Mathews Volunteer Fire Department for 63 years. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Dianne B. Wilson, who he married February 11, 1961, a son, R. Todd Wilson and his wife Dana, one granddaughter, Jessica Wilson; two sisters, Minnie Ethel Basset and Harriet Jane Davis (Tom) and several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to his pastor, Chris Morgan, Cornerstone Church. At the request of the deceased, there will be no service. Burial will be private. Memorial donations may be made to Mathews Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 1130, Mathews, Virginia 23109 Andrews Funeral home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
