Mary P. Patts
Mary P. (Dean) Patts, age 59, of Quincy, formerly of Braintree, died unexpectedly, Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born in Dorchester on February 10, 1957 to the late Richard E. and Lorraine P. (Conway) Dean. She was raised in Dorchester and was a graduate of the former Msgr. Ryan Memorial High School, Class of 1974. She had lived in Quincy for six years, previously in Braintree for over twenty-five years. She was employed as an executive assistant at the Stop & Shop Corporate Headquarters in Quincy Center for fifteen years. Mary was an avid Boston Red Sox fan and was devoted to her pet dog, Jacoby. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially at Red Sox games, the beach, and on Cape Cod. Beloved wife for thirty-four years of John T. Jack Patts. Devoted mother and best friend of Lauren E. Patts of Braintree, Jessica T. Olson and her husband Scott of Braintree, Kari Anne Patts of Quincy. Dear sister of Janice M. Martini and her husband Thomas of South Yarmouth, Lorraine C. Patts and her late husband Stephen of Abington, Carol M. Ritz and her husband John of Goodyear, Ariz., Richard E. Dean Jr. and his wife Ann of Braintree, Nancy E. Burke and her husband Michael of Pembroke, Stephen G. Dean and his partner Robert Masterson of Rockland. Mary is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Avenue, Quincy on Monday, October 17, at 9 a.m. Funeral Mass in Saint Thomas More Church, 8 Hawthorn Road, Braintree at 10 oclock. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours at the funeral home Sunday 2 | 6 p.m. At the request of the family, interment will be private.
