Ronald J. Wilson, 69 STANDISH - Ronald J. Wilson, 69, of Standish, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2016, at The Gosnell Memorial Hos-pice House in Scarborough. Ron was born in Portland on Dec. 1, 1946. He was predeceased by his parents, Lester and Albertina (Heward) Wilson; and his brother, Robert Wilson. Ron attended local schools and graduated from Westbrook High School in the Class of 1965. Ron served on the property commission of First Baptist Church in Portland and was a member of the board of directors for the New England Bible College for several years. For many years Ron enjoyed attending the men's Community Bible Study in Portland. Ron found much pleasure in working hard at his construction company, Les Wilson & Sons. Just weeks before his passing, you would find him in the office and on the job helping wherever he could. He took great pride in the fact that the family business recently celebrated 60 years. He also enjoyed maintaining his home and property on Sebago Lake and boating on its beautiful waters. Ron is survived by his wife of 48 years, Teddi Wilson; a son, Christopher Wilson, and his wife Faye along with their four children, Maysen, Tyler, Reece and Micah, of Windham; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Family and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation Sunday, Oct. 16, from 4-8 p.m. at Jones, Rich & Hutchins Funeral Home, 199 Woodford St., Portland. A service to celebrate Ron's life will be held Monday, Oct. 17, at 10 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, 360 Canco Rd., Portland, with the Reverend Michael Olmstead officiating. The interment will follow at Brooklawn Memorial Park immediately after the service.
