ROSEBORO — Mr. Edward Lewis Marston, 84, of 1682 Andrews Chapel Road, Roseboro, passed away Sunday, Oct. 9, 2016 at his home. He was born on August 27, 1932 in Haveihill, Mass., and was the son of the late Raymond Russell and Leona Clara Patten Marston. He was a veteran of the US Navy serving in the Korean War and then retired as a Bay Packer Factory Worker from AT&T. He was a member of Mintz Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Sara J. Marston of the home; sons, Ricky Marston of Sanford, Edward Marston, Jr. of Lynn, Mass.; brother, Walter Marston of Plaistow, N.H.; four grandchildren and one great grandchild. The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, Oct. 17, at Mintz Baptist Church, 3761 Old Mintz Highway, Roseboro, with the Rev. Dr. Robert Hunter, Jr. officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-2:45 p.m. Monday prior to the service. Services are by Butler Funeral Home, 401 W. Roseboro Street, Roseboro.
