James Bourbin Resident of San Mateo James (Jim) Roy Bourbin, age 95, passed away the morning of Wednesday, October 12, 2016 due to natural causes. Jim was born in the Mission District of San Francisco in 1921. He was a distinguished WWII Army veteran who served in the North African and European Theaters of Operation and was one of the last of the "Greatest Generation." After his return from the war, Jim worked for Western Electric for 35 years and was a resident of San Mateo for over 65 years. He loved walking along the Bay, photography, classic country music, attending Giants baseball games at Candlestick, watching the 49ers, and spending time with his wife. He is survived by Jean, his wife of 67 years, sons Dan and Tom, daughters Denise and June, and five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 17, 2016 at 11:00am at Crosby-N. Gray & Co., 2 Park Road, Burlingame, CA. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Colma, CA.
