CHRISTOPHER BALES LIMA — Christopher R. Bales, age 30 of Lima, died at 6:38 p.m., Tuesday, October 11, 2016 in the emergency room at Lima Memorial Hospital. He was born October 21, 1985 in Lima, Ohio; to Russell C. and Mary E. Romaker Bales, who survive in Lima. Christopher was a 2004 graduate of Bath High School and a 2010 graduate of the Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church. He was an avid football fan, playing fantasy football, and rooting for the Cleveland Browns and Ohio State. His talents included cooking and music. With his music he made beats, one reaching #1 on Hip Hop DX. Survivors also include a brother - Russell J. 'Rusty' Bales of Columbus; maternal grandmother - Katherine Romaker of Lima; maternal uncles - Ralph (Marlene) Romaker of Lancaster; Charles (Gina) Romaker of Chicago; Tony (Eva) Romaker of Columbus; Bob (JaneAnn) Romaker of Albany, NY; maternal aunts - Carrie (Tony) Scarozza of Buffalo, NY; Barb Romaker of Lima; paternal aunt - Toni Bales of Pickerington, and lots of cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather - Dr. James R. Romaker; maternal uncle - Jim Romaker; paternal grandparents - Russell E. and Bernice Bales. Mass of Christian burial will begin 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 15, 2016, at St. Johns Catholic Church in Lima. Burial will follow in Gethsemani Cemetery, Lima. The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m., Friday, at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army or Deb's Dogs.
