Ambs, Dianne Sue 12/27/1932 - 10/12/2016 Jackson, MI Ambs (Wisner), Dianne Sue (Donnie), 83, of Jackson, MI. Passed away after an extended illness. Dianne was born at home in Ann Arbor, Michigan on December 27, 1932. She graduated from Ionia High School in 1951 and attended Jackson Junior College and the University of Michigan. She lived in several locations in southern Michigan throughout her lifetime. She and her husband, Bruce, started their life together in Olympia, Washington. From there she and Bruce moved to Jackson, Michigan and started a family. Todd was born in 1958 and Tracy in 1966. As a family they lived in Jackson, MI, Jefferson City, MO, Fenton, MI, Linden, MI and finally back to Jackson in 1980. Dianne helped start the Educators Credit Union. She was one of 3 employees. She was a substitute teacher for a while, and held many "jobs" including Cub Scout leader, Brownie leader, PTA room mother, and softball coach. She was an avid bowler and was the bowling league secretary. In the late 1970's she got her real estate license and began selling real estate. She loved her job as a realtor, meeting new people and seeing all the different homes. She continued her realtor career until 1982 when a devastating illness changed the path of her life forever. Dianne was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Owena Wisner, sister, Sylvia (Jack) Jessup and great-granddaughter, Taryn Deleel. She is survived by her children, Todd (Beth Wentzel) Ambs, Tracy (Dennis Adams) Ambs, her sister Kay (Kent) Davison, her grandchildren, Shannon White and Sarah (Kyle Kast) White, her great-granddaughter, Nova Kast, brothers-in-law, Keith (Marie) Ambs and Jack Jessup. Also many nieces and nephews who loved their "Aunt Donnie" very much, and special cousins. A memorial service will be held at Wetherby Funeral Home, 402 Wildwood Ave, Jackson, MI. on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 2:00 p.m.. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on October 15, 2016 immediately before the service. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Jackson College Foundation. Dianne was very close to her family. She was a dedicated and caring wife and mother. She always put others, family and friends included, before herself.
