Marie Therese Kenyon Ensworth
Marie Therese Kenyon Ensworth, age 92, of Bath, NY, went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at Steuben Center in Bath. She was born on February 26, 1924, daughter of the late Herbert and Mary Barrett Kennett. She resided at Steuben Center in Bath for the past three and one half years, having lived in the Corning and Campbell area previously. In the past, she had also lived and worked in the Rochester, Webster and Palmyra, NY areas as a Home Health Caregiver. She was a graduate of St. Mary's Catholic School and Corning Free Academy, Class of 1942. Therese and Frederick S. Kenyon were married on March 4, 1944 in St. Mary's Church Rectory, just before he was shipped overseas during World War II. He predeceased her on October 3, 1959. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church in Campbell, NY. She enjoyed hot air balloon rides, balloon meets and sailplane rides, as well as crocheting, reading, writing poetry and most of all, visiting with family and friends. Therese is survived by two sons, Gary Kenyon of Corning and Patrick (Jolene) Kenyon of Sherwood, AR, and four daughters, Charlotte (Tom) Billings of Rochester, NY, Barbi (Ken) Cudney of Perry, NY, Marie Coleman of Corning, and Carol (Kevin) Fitzpatrick of Carlisle, PA. Also surviving are her grandchildren: Denise Kenyon, Christine (Marco) Bovo, Anne Coleman (Neil Bomberger), Colleen (Jon) Starling, Carianne and Mackenzie Cudney, and Brant Fitzpatrick. She is also survived by great-granddaughters Ally Rose Kenyon and Gloria Marie Bomberger, and four great-grandsons, Tommaso Giorgio and Giacomo Justin Bovo, George Frederick and Moses Thomas Bomberger, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by one daughter, Helen Ann, in 1956. She was also predeceased by her parents and brothers, Bernard, Edwin, Ralph, and Phillip Kennett and her sisters, Ruth Corcoran and Agnes Frederick. Friends may call at St. Joseph's Church in Campbell for visitation on Saturday, October 22 at 10:00 AM followed by a memorial Mass at 11:00 AM. The family will provide flowers. Memorial donations may be given in Therese's name to St. Joseph's Church and mailed to Sts. Isidore and Maria Torribia Parish, 51 Maple St., Addison, NY 14801. Therese's family entrusted her care to Haughey Funeral Home, Inc.
