Murad A. Meneshian age 80 of Glenview passed away October 11, 2016. Beloved husband of Knarik O. Meneshian, loving father of Raffi Meneshian (Natacha Samedi), Hasmik Dombalagian (Vahe Dombalagian) and Sevan Meneshian (Anna Sek Meneshian). Proud grandfather of Sevana Dombalagian, Taline Dombalagian, Aram Dombalagian, Alina Meneshian, and Aris Meneshian. Fond brother of Zorab Meneshian and the late Haigouhi Meneshian and Gaidzag Meneshian. Dear uncle of many nieces and nephews. Murad was Christian Armenian born in Baghdad, Iraq, Immigrated to the United States in 1957, Alumni of University of Illinois (BS) and Texas Christian University (MS), he worked for Abbott Laboratories, Teletype Corporation, AT&T/ Lucent Technologies (Bell Laboratories) as an Analytical Chemist. He had several patents in the field of science. Murad was a lifelong member of the Dashnaktsutyun Party (ARF), Chairman of the Building Committee of the Armenian All Saints Apostolic Church in Glenview, IL, Lecturer in Armenian History, Author and Translator of several publications and frequently contributed to the Armenian Weekly. Visitation Thursday, October 13 from 4:00p.m. - 8:00p.m. at Armenian All Saints Apostolic Church 1701 Greenwood Rd, Glenview, IL 60026. Funeral Friday at 10:00a.m. at Armenian All Saints Apostolic Church, Glenview. Burial will be in Irving Park Cemetery, Chicago, IL. In lieu of flowers donations to the Armenian DNA Project conducted by Professor Yepiskoposyan (please make checks payable to Knarik Meneshian), All Saints Armenian Apostolic Church, or to the ANCA Endowment Fund.
