Theodore Herbert "Ted" Lorenz
Theodore "Ted" Herbert Lorenz, 94, of Palm Coast, Florida, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2016 at his home. A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, October 15 at Christ Lutheran Church, 2323 North State Street, Unit 112, Bunnell, Florida 32110, Rev. Judy Mattson Pastor, and Rev. Paul Myers, "Retired" Pastor, will be officiating. The Masonic Order of Bunnell, Florida will be honoring Ted's life membership prior to the memorial service promptly at 3:00 p.m. Ted was born July 14, 1922 in North Bergen, New Jersey to Theodore and Anna (Veyhl) Lorenz. He graduated from Emerson Union City High School in 1940 and attended the University of Indiana in Bloomington to study Basic Engineering. Ted served honorably in the United States Army during World War II from February 1943 to September 1944. He attended Stevens Institute of Technology and studied Machine Design and Engineering Drawing. Ted was a member of the Masonic Order of Lodge 200 and 402 in Bunnell, Florida where he served as Master in 1986 and Secretary from 1987-1989. Ted volunteered countless hours for the Hospital Auxiliary for Florida Hospital Flagler with his wife Grace. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, reading, collecting trains and spending time with his family. Ted is survived by his wife, Grace Ballou Colpitts Jacoby Lorenz of Palm Coast, FL.; his four children; Cheryl Lorenz, Craig Lorenz, Joan Carlson and Judith Jacoby; nine grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Anna; his wife Shirley Ruoff (Lorenz) in 1963 and his brother William Lorenz.
