Russell "Wolfie" Wolfe
Russell "Wolfie" Wolfe Russell "Wolfie" Wolfe passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Monday, October 10th, 2016 at the age of 68. He is survived by wife, Sandy Cox Wolfe; sister, Sherry Radliff; his Pug, May; children and grandchildren, Vanessa Barnes, husband Chad, children Morgan, Maggie, Tyler; JoAnne Starks, husband, Mike, children Kaleb and Hudson; Hannah Wolfe; Sarah Casey, husband Keais, children Ben, Makhenna, and Ava; and several nieces and nephews. He was from Queensbury, NY, born on December 16th, 1947. He entered the United States Marine Corp. in September of 1966. A resident of Ayden, NC for almost 45 years, he was a skilled carpenter and a loyal member of the American Legion, Post 39. He was dedicated to volunteering for Toys for Tots, Snowball Express, Patriot Guard Riders, and many other Veteran related affiliations. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, cooking, and most of all riding his Harley. Wolfie opted to donate his body to the Brody School of Medicine, for the research of Parkinson's and Multiple System Atrophy. In lieu of flowers, the family asks to donate in Wolfie's honor to the American Legion, Post 39. P.O. Box 21, Greenville, North Carolina, 27835.
