  JUDITH A. ERICKSON "Judy"   1938 - 2016 (Age 77)   Of Fairfax, VA and Brewster, MA, passed away on July 14, 2016 as a result of complications related to recently diagnosed lung cancer.   Judy was a native of San Francisco, California, where she met and married her husband of 52 years, Steve (1938-2012). Together they lived in many parts of the U.S., as well as in Germany, as they raised their three children and enjoyed Air Force family life.   Judy called Fairfax, VA home since 1970. She taught preschool for the St. Stephen's Mom's Free Day program in Burke, VA for 20 years. She was President of District of Columbia P.E.O. Chapter L, Corresponding Secretary of the Thomas Lee Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution in Fairfax, VA, and served in various volunteer capacities as a longtime member of the Church of Good Shepherd in Burke, VA. Judy was grateful to spend her summers on Cape Cod for the past 25 years where she also enjoyed church and PEO Chapter AQ activities. She had an extensive network of friends and neighbors near and far that she touched with her generous spirit (and excellent culinary skills) on a daily basis.   She is survived by her son, Scott, and his wife, Stephanie, of Richmond, VA; her son, Todd, and his children, Leo and Holly, and their mother, Jennifer Swan of Los Angeles, CA; her daughter, Sarah, and her husband, Scott Dickens, and their children, Callie and Andrew, of Fairfax Station, VA; and other loving family around the country.   A memorial service will be held Sunday, November 6, at 1 p.m. at the Church of Good Shepherd, 9350 Braddock Road, Burke, VA, 22015 with a reception following. Interment will at Arlington National Cemetery on Monday, November 7 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Education Recognition Award (ERA) scholarship fund by mailing a check payable to the P.E.O. Foundation, memo: "ERA" to S. Carey, Treasurer, DC Chapter P.E.O. Sisterhood, 8106 Chivalry Road, Annandale, VA 22003.
