In memory of
Janet E. Street
Janet E. Street Princess Anne-JANET EBY STREET, 96, of Princess Anne, Maryland was called to eternal rest on Sunday, October 9th, 2016. She was surrounded by her family at the time of her passing. Janet was the daughter of the late Valentine V. Eby & Selma Kleiberg Eby of Venton, Maryland. She grew up on a farm - harvesting eggs from the chickens and playing with the lambs - a fond experience that she would recall over and over again throughout her life. Later, she graduated from the Delaware Hospital School of Nursing and worked in Wilmington, Delaware. Janet lived a wonderful life. Everywhere she went, she made sure to bring her camera to capture the scenery and special moments with her family. She enjoyed the sun in Miami, the mountains of the Midwest, steamboating on the Mississippi River, cruises to Alaska, Scandinavia, United Kingdom and Western Europe. Amongst her many talents, Janet was best known for her culinary skills. From braided Norwegian sweet bread to 'chicken-100-ways' to her famous 'on-the-porch' tapioca pudding, her knowledge in the kitchen was vast and inspired. Family and visitors were spoiled with her delicious talents and the house was always permeated with a warm, comforting aroma. Janet was a caring wife, mother, mom-mom, great-grandmother and all-around dedicated woman. She enjoyed serving the Maryland community in various capacities. She was a member of Antioch Methodist Church, Princess Anne Shoreland Club, Somerset County & Maryland Bible Societies, Pythian Sisters and a Charter Member of the Business and Professional Womens Association of Princess Anne. Janet's legacy is survived by her son, Robert C. Street Jr. and daughter-in-law, Ann, of Princess Anne, MD; grandaughter Kelli Street (husband Edvin Besic) of Boulder, CO; Great-grandchildren Ella & Luna Street-Besic of Boulder CO; Brother Robert Eby & wife Betty of Solomons Island, MD and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Street Sr. (2007) and her son Christopher Berry Street (2014). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Antioch Methodist Church PO Box 297, Princess Anne, MD 21853 and Catholic Charities Seton Center PO Box 401, Princess Anne, MD 21853.
