THOMAS JOSEPH BLAKE
    THOMAS JOSEPH BLAKE   On August 20, 2016 Thomas Blake of Woodbridge, Virginia lost his battle with cancer. He was a highly decorated Army helicopter pilot, Vietnam War veteran, pistol champion and an avid golfer. "TJ" was loved and admired by those who knew him and will be remembered for his numerous stories and sense of humor. He is survived by siblings, Henry, John, James, George Benson, and Douglas Blake, Katherine Scott, Ernestine Green and Lucile Blake; six children, Thomas Blake II, Benson Blake, Jina Blake, Janelle Henderson, Janine Kempfer, Jillissa Lucas; 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews. Friends and family will be received 10 a.m. Monday, August 29, 2016 at First Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 16622 Dumfries Road, Dumfries, VA where a homegoing service will be held at 11 a.m. Interment, Quantico National Cemetery. In honor of his memory, the family is supporting the Prostate Cancer Foundation ( www.pcf.org/ThomasBlake ). Arrangements by Ames Funeral Home, Manassas, VA.
